The Results of a National Rejection

Section 59 examines the amazing grace that is seen at Simon the Pharisees home when a prostitute shows up and worships her savior, Jesus. Then section 60 highlights the women who supported Jesus in His ministry.

This conclusion to section 61 follows the course of events unfolding in Matthew’s gospel account as Israel willfully rejects Jesus as Messiah and gives as their reason for rejection, their conclusion that Jesus is operating under the power of Satan. As a result of their words and their actions, Jesus says that their national fate is fixed and will result in their scattering and that particular national sin as being unpardonable.
